Zomi Community Melbourne Inc. (Zomi Innkuan Melbourne) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting, empowering, and uniting the Zomi people in Victoria. Established to serve the growing Zomi population, our organization provides a platform for cultural preservation, social support, and community development.
The Zomi people are an ethnic group with a rich history, distinct language, and vibrant cultural heritage, originating from Myanmar, India, and Bangladesh. Many Zomi individuals have migrated to Australia in search of better opportunities, education, and safety. Recognizing the need for a strong community network, we formed Zomi Community Melbourne to foster connections, promote cultural identity, and provide essential support services to our members.
